Pre-installation checklist: measure, plan, verify
Start by measuring the available space under your bed frame, including the clearance from the floor and the distance to any rails or storage structures. Misalignment can cause uneven motion and may increase noise during operation.
Check cable management as part of the fit process, not as an afterthought. Plan where the power lead and signal cables will sit so they do not snag, stretch, or twist when the lift cycles. If your bedroom includes drawers or built-in cabinetry, confirm that cable routes keep moving parts unobstructed. Finally, test the motion by hand only if the system allows it, and ensure there is no binding at the top or bottom travel points.
Electrical and control checklist: button operation, power, settings
Confirm the power supply requirements for the lift system and ensure you have a safe outlet configuration. If you prefer discreet operation, verify that the controls are positioned so they remain easy to reach while the bed is made up. Some setups use a button controller or remote-friendly options, but the key is consistent access and clear feedback. Plan cable length so the controller and TV connection stay tidy without stressing ports.
Test the lift cycle before finalizing furniture placement, and observe how the system behaves during repeated movement. Smooth motion should be quiet and controlled, with no sudden drops or hesitations. If your TV has specific settings for input switching or standby behavior, verify how it responds when the screen rises and when it lowers. This prevents surprises like delayed input detection or unintended sleep modes during daily use.
